Me in San Francisco when
the Weather Underground was there. See the Golden Gate
Bridge in the background?

From 1969 to 1974 my friends
and I mostly went to rock concerts, played our guitars at
jam sessions in a friend's garage, listened to Rolling
Stones albums on our turntables or 8-track tape players,
went to parties, played Frisbee, went camping, drank beer
while hanging out in State Parks, motorcycled (I once had
a 1967 Triumph 650 Bonneville which my room-mate and I
"chopped" using a lot of Harley
parts)...and we smoked a lot of pot while watching
cartoons on TV with a big bag of chips in our laps -
battling the "munchies".
Most of my friends and I were military brats, coming
from middle-class family backgrounds with parents in the
Air Force, Navy, or Army. We grew up mostly on military
installations (bases or forts) and we moved around a lot -
going to different schools almost every year (and
sometimes to different countries). Most of the time, we
were always the "new kid" in class. Not knowing
anybody, we always had to learn to make new friends every
time our parents transferred and we had to move somewhere
else. |
One place
where I lived as a young kid was in Hawaii...in the early
60's when Obama was there. My dad was in the Air Force and
was stationed at Hickam Air Force Base on the island of
Oahu - Waikiki Beach,
Diamond Head, and Pearl Harbor. I remember eating fresh pineapple and
playing marbles under the huge rainbows after an afternoon
downpour. When they used to burn the crops of sugarcane.
As a kid growing up, it was a pain in the
ass...but looking back, it gave me a few good life experiences -
and I met a lot of people over the years too (though
oddly, I know
very few these days, but that's another story).
But as a young man in my late teens and
early 20's, we protested too - but we didn't plant bombs.
My only experience with explosives was with M-80's, which
we used to buy in Tijuana or illegally from our own
"underground". But we didn't kill people,
blow up buildings, or torture animals either.

Some people said I used
to look like Charles Manson...were they kidding! I was
MUCH better looking!

While preparing this post and reading excerpts
of their rants from the book "Prairie Fire", it
just further reinforced my opinions of Bill Ayers and his lot.
When I see him in interviews today, I can still see that same
cockiness and arrogance...he hasn't changed one damn bit; and
probably to this very day, was never man enough to bear any of
the blame or responsibility for the lives that were lost. And
never truly repentant.
I remember those days all too well when those
left-wing loons were running around like fanatics blowing things
up...I think maybe those mal-adjusted kids might have taken one
or two hits of bad acid, and never recovered. (What was it
Bill...Purple Haze or Orange Barrel? Maybe it was Window Pane.)

| I knew bikers back then (many
were Viet Nam Vets) and as militant as they were, they too
though you guys were "fu*ked up weenies", but neither
were they
long-winded idiots like you and Bernardine - rambling
on and on and on in your "manifestos".
Those bikers had represented the real "working class", the ones
you and your rebels had professed to save through tour twisted
ideologies of Marxist / Social / Communism...and they
said you guys were "full of sh*t".
The Black Panthers, The
People's or Symbionese Liberation Army (Patty
Hearst), and the Weather Underground were all a
bunch of whacko radical nuts...like those in al qaeda
are today (you probably relate to them now). And we
used to think that it was US that were living on
the fringe of society!

Your group claimed to fight for "black
causes" and the "anti-war" movement, but your actions contradicted Martin
Luther King Jr.'s - and if anybody should have had the audacity
to hope,
it shouldn't have been people like you or your
twisted wife...two
people who have always hated and always will. (Don't
worry Mister Ayers, I don't hate you...I just think
you're despicable.) The MAJORITY of the Vietnam anti-war movement (which included militant vets) was peaceful and was aimed at
the broad working class and middle class solidarity. Winning everyone over through persuasion, activism, and LOGIC. Dohrn and Ayers actions SPLIT the antiwar movement over petty squabbles, and then attempted to form an alternate movement based on AGE. Everywhere in the world, youth rebels to some extent as they strike out on an independent path. But Ayers' and Dohrn's plan was based on "mass consumer cultural conditioning."
All the working class kids like me had to go to work. We couldn't afford Bill Ayers' radical elitist BS point of view, a spoiled punk kid that born with a silver spoon in his mouth and overcome by guilt, and suffering from "Ghetto-Envy". But unlike all the working stiffs in this world, he has always had a Safety-Net to fall into whenever the going got tough. Daddy paying for his clever lawyers, then years later inheriting his money. And now he's a
pseudo-celeb amongst the other losers from that era in Hyde Park.
Bill Ayers has never been an "educator". A real educator teaches facts, basic knowledge, and inspires students to think for themselves - to believe in themselves, while learning our Constitution and form of government, and yes, try to make the US a better place for all citizens. Not to
indoctrinate the youth with their own ideologies.
To his students in Generation Y at the Chicago University: Take a lesson and never trust a liberal professor (or anyone over 30) - they didn't earn it, they didn't sweat for
it - and if they ever inherit it, they never deserved it.
So tell me...what's the difference between Bill Ayers and Timothy
McVeigh? Aside from the fact that McVeigh was executed and Ayers helped get Obama elected to President. Ayers now has access to the White house
and the government that he once sought to destroy! Ironic? "Kill your parents!" he once proclaimed. Why didn't he kill
his own?
Bill Ayers and his friends never stood for any
"noble" cause...they were never anything but low-life
criminal, gangbanging miscreants...just
depraved common thugs from the very beginning (and today, they still are).
Bernardine
and Bill have been masquerading behind prestigious college degrees and
pompous titles like "distinguished", but most people
aren't fooled by their pompous facades. Does anyone believe his
dad pass away 2 years ago as a proud
father?
How much money did you inherent Bill? It doesn't
matter, because it won't be enough to buy you out of hell. And I
fear your children are following your same pathetic path in
life. A shameful legacy to leave behind Mister Ayers, a real
shame...
...and I don't believe for one damn minute that Obama
didn't know what was happening back in1981. With his "causes"
like anti-apartheid being expressed while at "Oxy" and
everything else that was going on in those days, one would have
to be deaf, "dumb", and blind not to know what was
happening...and judging by his pictures, Obama looked very "street savvy"
and smart kid in those
days...
