Congress Makes History in 2010 - As the Worst Congress Ever!

Sometimes great people change the world. Sometimes a person is forced to become more than they would otherwise have been, through the unfolding of events. And sometimes people make great blunders too...either through idiocy or through pure arrogance, or both...

... which we'll soon witness first hand.

The megalomaniacs in Congress seem hell-bent on achieving some form of immortal legacy for themselves - - - several have already publicly alluded to "making history". You've heard a few on TV - "We are going to make history." Their obsession with grandiose or extravagant actions in an attempt to make themselves famous is sickening.

I'm tired of those members in Congress (suffering from group narcissism) who's only concern is, not the welfare of the people, but of "making history". Their lack of empathy for the silent majority appears to be a psychopathological condition characterized by omnipotent and delusional opinions of themselves...drunk with power and pampering egotistical fantasies.

Humanitarians like Mother Teresa made great history. Pope John and Nelson Mandela made history. Bold military leaders like Dwight Eisenhower made history. Civil rights leaders like MLK made history. Great Presidents like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln made history....

... but not self-loving narcissists like Obama or those egotistical self-anointed elitists who's only ambition is JUST to "make history".

Adolf Hitler made history. Sudam Hussein made history. Charles Manson made history. What does it take to make history?

Ladies and gentleman, with our fearless leaders putting Healthcare before the economy, Cap & Trade before national security, the banks before us - - - we are witnessing history being made before our very eyes...

...made by the moronic actions of the worst and most out-of-touch Congress and administration that ever was in history!

Wall Street Bankers in the Hot Seat - Goldman Sachs Answers to Congress

The bankers of the apocalypse strode into the Congressional hearing room and formed a crooked line. They raised their hands haltingly, looking at one another as if to see whether the other guys were going to do it, too. It was one of the more indecisive swearings-in you will ever see on Capitol Hill.

The commissioners pressed the bankers on executive compensation, on managing risks, and on lending practices, keeping up a brisk pace while the witnesses fidgeted like busy people who all had planes or trains to catch.

Full Story:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/14/business/14witness.html

Phil Angelides, Chairman of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, bore in on Lloyd C. Blankfein, Goldman Sachs’s chairman. He asked Mr. Blankfein to explain how his firm could have sold bundles of troubled mortgages at the same time it placed bets with Goldman’s own money that their value would fall.

Phil Angelides: “It sounds to me a little bit like selling a car with faulty brakes and then buying an insurance policy on the buyer of those cars.”

Mr. Angelides also dismissed Mr. Blankfein’s line about “professional investors” by saying that those same investors represented the savings of teachers and police officers.

Palin at Fox News - The Liberals Need to Speak Up!

The liberals have been taking pot shots at Sarah Palin again because she is now working at Fox News. But why? What are the liberals afraid of? - Video here

Criticism, honesty, and open debate is a good thing. It allows us to compare ideas and thoughts, and to expand our understanding of all we share...and to build and expand on those ideas for a better world in which we live.

But thoughts, ideas, and opinions must NOT be controlled by one ideology or a government that professes itself to be an open society.

The liberals control most of the newspapers and TV stations...they have many media outlets for which they can pontificate opine. Oh...and almost all of them have blogs too, just like me.

I don't want the ultra-liberals (or Marxists) to remain silent and unheard. On the contrary, I'd rather they shout their message from the top of the highest mountain so all can hear. I want the American people to know them well, and their agenda. For the liberals to remain silent and unaccounted for, would only be dangerous for the rest of us.(Such as Obama's "transparent" administration and the policies they want to sneak through Congress and force upon Americans.)

So why is it that "liberals" want to silence conservatives such as Palin, who only wish to exercise their Constitutionally guaranteed right to free speech? Isn't that rather un-American of them? I thought the liberals were all for civil liberties, the ones that have been so well fought for by the ACLU since the 1960's and SDS.

That's odd.

Or maybe the liberals just want to silence dissent when it's only the conservatives that they perceive as being wrong. But liberals (as a minority) must shout louder than anyone else, and talk over anyone else who speaks, just to have their shrill voices heard.

The louder and more obnoxious, the better. Rationality doesn't matter...except when it's only their perceived idea of what sanity, fairness, and justice might be.

Odd.

Yes liberals, speak up...please! We need to know what's on your mind, so we can take action to counter your morbid ideas about what you think the future of this great country should be like. We truly want to understand you better, so we can have empathy for your causes, no matter how bizarre or odd.

And they are very odd.

Notice I didn't call the liberals any names? But they call others names. But that's OK, I want to hear whatever they have to say. So you liberals (and Marxists)...please comment on my blog, so that I may better know your thoughts and ideas about my right to express MY opinions. I don't want to silence you, I want to hear you...to know you well.

Hydrogen - American Energy in 2010 and Beyond

Commentary by Bud Meyers

The modern technologies that we currently enjoy today, were mostly made possible by military weaponry...and so it has always been since the dawn of mankind.

H-Bomb

The most advanced research made by the brightest people in the world, scientists and the like, made weapons to kill people. That's how we got nuclear energy, and years later, cell phones...through military research and development - which was eventually made available for civilian applications.

Why don't we have more "green" technology? Because "green" isn't deadly on a mass scale.

I'm sure there are some advances being made that will eventually become available that can be applied to green technology, but we will have to allow the natural evolvement of this knowledge until it becomes a reality; we can't force it at the expense of our economy, or on false pretenses for scams or social agendas like "climate change".

If the sea levels rise, so be it - the world will adopt. They rose before and they will rise again. Since the day the earth was created, it has gone through untold changes, and it constantly will...until our sun finally dies...which it one day will. There will be an end to our world...but not tomorrow. And if so, what will be, will be. It's God's will and puny humans can't change that.

The earth goes through natural periods of warming and cooling trends - short term ones and long term ones. But all the polar ice caps on earth won't melt overnight. There is a better chance that we will be hit with an asteroid, or be devastated by a catastrophic volcanic eruption from Yellowstone Park, or even a burst of radiation from our sun or by gamma rays from a super-nova light-years away...but most likely we'll be hit with a pandemic influenza such as Avian flu.

...and then there are the weapons we created (nuclear and biological); and we must also protect ourselves from a dirty bomb in the hands of Islamic terrorists.

But for now, the polar bears are safe. And the people in the lowlands of New Orleans and Florida will have plenty of time to pack their bags.

Let's promote "green" and environmental issues in a responsible way, and within our economic means. Spending trillions of dollars to try and cool the earth by .05 degrees in 100 years is ridiculous when we could be fighting disease and hunger and poverty instead. The world as it is NOW, not a million years from now, is what sane people should be concerning themselves about. The future is nice, but the present is better.

Al Gore made his money already...don't allow lunatics like him to make a second and third pass at the well when so many others are still thirsty. He has his private jet and mansion to enjoy at our expense.

The mountains and glaciers and the Grand Canyon were not created over night, and species have either evolved or went extinct over millions of years, by either Charles Darwin's Natural Selection, or by God-created disasters...and sometimes by man. The entire eco-system didn't collapse when the dodo bird became extinct in the 17th century - - - or when the plains bison (aka American buffalo) stopped roaming the Great Plains in America (Native Americans also contributed to the collapse of the bison, with the Comanche alone killing 280,000 bison a year by the 1830s).

The "eco freaks" weren't complaining about the natural habitats of tortoise and other species when they destroyed thousands of acres of pristine land to lay down inefficient solar panels or to build those ghastly "eye-sores" called windmills - - - oh no, not in MY back yard!

Oil won't last forever either...it took millions of years to make, and we will eventually need alternative sources of energy. But until that time when man has obtained the knowledge and wherewithal to produce this energy ("green" or otherwise), let's responsibly and economically use what we already have (including nuclear), and drill for the oil that still exists. Who knows, maybe one day we will have found the secret to hydrogen fission and have unlimited energy, and making what oil the earth still holds, obsolete.

Then we can finally tell the IPCC, Al Gore, the Middle East, and the liberals to SHUT UP ALREADY!

In the mean time...let's go visit Alaska and get that pipeline at full capacity again. We'll let Al Gore worry about the wild predators in the Artic Circle.

John Brennan - Deputy National Security Advisor is "Sorry"

...but Obama Saved or Created Another Job

Regarding the failed attempt by the Jock Strap bomber on Christmas Day:

Obama says he's not going to blame any one person or agency...that the break down in our National security was "systemic".

Then John Brennan, the Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Adviser for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, says, "I told the President I was sorry for letting him down."

Sorry? Sorry for what? For not doing his job?

Or maybe John was just taking the heat for Michael E. Leiter, who is currently the Director of the United States National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC).

Michael E. Leiter dismissed the potential terrorist threat on Christmas Day and went on a ski vacation the very day after a civilian passenger on that flight saved the day. (It didn't work out so well on that flight in Pennsylvania on 9-11.)

I know of people who were fired from their job because they were only a few minutes late for work, and nobody's life was at stake either - - - no fatal errors were made, no one was at risk for anything.

...but everybody was sorry, everyone was to blame, so therefore, no one loses their job. Obama saved or created another job.

Maybe Obama will give them all a raise too!
