Does Obama need a tele-prompter to say, "God bless America"?
Do you trust our government?
When Obama "The One" was a community leader, he represented ACORN in litigation to sue Citigroup to make mortgages to minorities who couldn't financially qualify. (I know, old news). Most of those loans were backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, who were unregulated and promoted by Barney Franke. Most of those loans didn't get paid back, so Fannie and Freddie went bankrupt and the housing market collapsed. Financial instruments (called CDS) to insure against these mortgage loans (used by AIG and "others") failed, so AIG (and those "others") went bankrupt too.

Then a $700 billion TARP bill was passed without members of Congress even reading it (and was full of extra pork spending). Taxpayers are forced to bail out these financial institutions, and the Recession of 2007 became the Great Depression of 2008. The money used to bail out AIG got paid to the likes of Goldman Sachs (after the government allowed Goldman's competitors to fail) and money was also paid to foreign banks (like members of the IMF). The stock market continued its collapse (DOW at 6,500 on March 9th), more lay-offs ensued, and unemployment sky-rocketed (last count was 9.5%), the highest since 1967. This in turn produced more mortgage defaults, credit card defaults, and auto loan defaults. (Commercial real estate is close behind). Obama, the Federal Reserve, and the Department of Treasury are in cahoots. General Motors and Chrysler were bailed out - bondholders were left out to dry as the government and the United Autoworkers got the lion's share of the company (say "investor confidence"). Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs recently "paid back" TARP money and claimed a profit last quarter. Yet unemployment continues to climb, and the credit market is still frozen - small businesses keep failing. Obama's Democrats also passed a $780 billion "stimulus package" that failed (again, unread by Congress and is full of more pork spending).

Now the Obama administration is pushing the "Cap and Trade" bill to limit carbon emissions from industry to lower global warning (which would raise costs on the average American consumer). Claims of "Green Chutes" were soon falsely made.The administration is also trying to jam government healthcare down the throats of the taxpayers too...and very quickly! Why? (Obama once had to argue with the insurance companies to get his mother medical treatment...remember?). Then the Dems started calling it "healthcare reform" - now they call it "health insurance reform"...they'll call it anything to dupe us into believing them.

All this is happening while members of Obama's administration who failed to pay back taxes were never indicted for their crimes (would you be charged?) - and yet, more "CZARS" are appointed at Obama's whim (34 last count). A racist judge is nominated by Obama to the Supreme Court; the government admits it was wrong in calculating the unemployment figures, and now claims (after saying it was to be immediate) that the stimulus was meant for 2010. What?!?!?

And all this time, these same politicians (who live in mansions, ride in entourages of SUVs, and fly in private jets) do not worry about paying their electric bills, or how they're going to pay the rent, or what they can eat. Only the American citizens have to worry about such nominal things. It seems our fearless leaders have completely and totally lost touch with reality - Republicans and Democrats alike. This country is headed towards the depths of an abyss as that we've never seen.
Do you still trust our government?
And foreign policy? Cutting the budget on missile defense while North Korea is testing nukes? God help us all!
And if you STILL trust our government, then you deserve the government you get!
